Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at the Leh Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy simple & light lunch today at your respective hotels. Since you are arriving at 11000 feet, we strongly recommend taking complete rest and drink ample water on the first day where you should not indulge yourself in any strenuous activity. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Sham Valley Tour - Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Sangam (70kms round trip | approx 4 Hrs):
After breakfast, we will drive alongside bank of Indus river till Sangam, to witness the the conflicts of Zanskar river and Indus River. Enroute we will be visiting Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia), Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity) and Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. Later in the afternoon visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Return to your hotel & relax for the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Leh to Khardung La to Nubra Valley (140 Kms / Approx 05-06 Hrs):
Post breakfast check out of the hotel & we will start our journey to Nubra Valley through Khardungla, which is the World's highest motor able road at 18,832 feet above sea level. At Khardungla pass the snow-capped peaks and the mountain views are amazing. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in Guinness Book of world records. Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography.
Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colourful trees in this region. Arrive Nubra and enjoy adventurous ATV ride (on complimentary basis, one time). Later reach your camp, check in & enjoy your lunch. Post lunch visit the Hunder sand dunes and get the sight of the Double Hump Bactrian camels (camel ride to be on direct payment basis), enjoy leisure time at the Sand Dunes of Nubra valley spread across Hundur Village. Later in the evening, return to your respective camps. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4: Nubra - Excursion to Turtuk – Nubra
One of the moist fascinating journeys in Ladakh this is a less popular destination recently opened for tourist, if you have a thirst for a beautiful location this is the place. En-route spectacular mountain ranges and Villages like. This region is controlled mainly by the Ladakh Scouts a rear department of the India Army. A border village that was recaptured by the Indian Army in 1971. Locals have relatives across the border (Line of Control) and depend mainly on farming of vegetables, apricot besides providing mules and porters. A full day rough excursion and evening back to Nubra Valley. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 5: Nubra to Pangong (165 Kms / Approx 05-06 Hrs Total)
After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14, 500 ft. via Agham & Shyok village and reach Pangong Lake. Pangong, the highest salt water lake in the world. Take in the breath-taking views and setting of the blue lake set amidst the lofty Himalaya Mountains. Check in to your respective camps & enjoy your lunch.
Later in the afternoon, spend time on your own at leisure. A popular location for many Bollywood movies, enjoy some unique moments and don’t forget to click some nice pictures. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 6: Pangong to Leh (225 Kms / Approx 06-07 Hrs Total)
After sunrise, enjoy your early breakfast and check out of the camp and drive back to Leh. En-route visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens (Stupa) to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Early evening, check into hotel and relax. Evening, you may opt to visit the local market to buy souvenirs for your near & dear ones (pick up & drop to the market will be on direct payment basis). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7: Departure from Leh
Transfer to Leh airport to board the flight back for onward journey with beautiful memories.
